Empowering Growth, Purpose and Impact

Lasting growth begins with understanding your value and knowing how to use it.

I am a CEO, speaker and author who equips professionals, leaders and entrepreneurs to lead with clarity, advocate for themselves and build careers and businesses rooted in purpose and impact.

Who My Work Serves

My work speaks to a wide range of audiences, but the throughline is consistent.

This isn’t only about career growth or leadership, though both are central to my work. It’s about helping people take ownership of their professional narrative, navigate complex and often unfair environments with clarity, and build influence and impact that extends beyond a single role or season.

Whether I’m speaking to professionals, working with business leaders, supporting entrepreneurs or engaging faith-based audiences, my focus is the same: equipping individuals and teams with practical tools to lead well, advocate for themselves and move forward with purpose—regardless of the circumstances they face.

I help individuals embrace self-advocacy, overcome imposter syndrome and position themselves for growth.

Business Leaders

I guide leaders to build trust, foster collaboration and create environments where teams feel valued and inspired.

Entrepreneurs

I support entrepreneurs in building businesses grounded in their stories, purpose and resilience while balancing the demands of business ownership with nurturing meaningful relationships.

Faith-Based Audiences

I inspire individuals of faith to align their personal and professional lives with biblical wisdom, navigate challenges with clarity and live out their purpose with confidence.

About Devika Brij

“I know what it’s like to feel unseen and undervalued. But I also know the power of turning those experiences into purpose and creating something bigger than the rejection that tried to define me.”

She is the author of Thrive in Color, a career advancement guide widely used across corporations to help professionals articulate their value, advocate effectively, and take ownership of their career trajectory. Her work is known for translating lived experience into practical frameworks that leaders and employees can apply immediately.Devika Brij Maurice is a business leader, author, and respected voice on leadership and career advancement. She is the CEO and Founder of Brij the Gap Consulting, a talent and leadership development firm that partners with global organizations to equip professionals with the tools to increase performance, strengthen leadership capability and drive lasting growth.

Raised in a single-parent household by an immigrant mother who worked multiple jobs while building a life in North America, Devika learned early how resilience and survival often come at the expense of self-advocacy. That early exposure shaped her understanding of power, opportunity and what it means to navigate systems that are not always designed to support fairness or equity.

Devika built her career at world-renowned companies including Google and LinkedIn, earning credibility through consistent performance and leadership. Despite a strong track record, she later experienced an unjust termination after reporting to a manager who questioned her abilities and integrity, ultimately creating a false narrative that undermined her contributions. That defining professional turning point reshaped how Devika understood leadership, advocacy and influence, and became the catalyst for her work today.

Through Brij the Gap, Devika leads corporate training, employee development and business leader training focused on one central truth: while individuals cannot always control unfair or biased circumstances, they can learn how to reclaim their power within them. Her work equips employees and leaders to strengthen self-advocacy, navigate complexity and lead with clarity and confidence, regardless of the environments they face.

She is the author of Thrive in Color, a career advancement guide widely used across corporations to help professionals articulate their value, advocate effectively, and take ownership of their career trajectory. Her work is known for translating lived experience into practical frameworks that leaders and employees can apply immediately.

A respected voice on leadership development and career advancement, Devika is a sought-after speaker who has delivered impactful keynotes, trainings and programs for organizations including Google, Visa and Meta. Her work resonates with audiences across corporate spaces, global conferences, universities and leadership forums, where she is known for combining strategic insight with candor, depth and actionable guidance.
